Cheesy, Salty & Crispy Toasted Sandwich Wraps
You Will Need:
Clean hands
Lined or greased oven tray (maybe two, depending on how many wraps)
Grater
Small bowl
Cooking brush or spoon
Chopping board and a sharp knife
Ingredients:
Wraps – however many you have to use up, I used 6 wraps in this photo
Olive oil, approximately 2 tbs for 6 wraps , enough to thinly spread over each wrap
Cheese, grated, I used one large handful of Edam cheese
Handy Tip: I save the odds and ends of cheese in a container to use in recipes like this.
Flaky Parmesan cheese works really well on these, but most cheeses work
Salt – flaky salt is best, but household salt from a shaker or grinder is fine.
Method:
Preheat the oven to fan bake 200°C.
Place the wraps on your prepared baking tray: about three fit per tray.
Place the olive oil in a small bowl. Use a cooking brush or the back of a spoon (or fingers) to brush/smear the olive oil lightly over each wrap, ensuring it’s spread right out to the edges.
Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over each wrap.
Pop into the oven for 5–8 minutes. Watch that they don’t burn, though you want them to be crispy.
Take out of the oven and get a good pinch of flaky salt and liberally sprinkle it over each wrap.
Cut into quarters and serve with your favourite casual ‘rustle up’ lunch dish. I like to serve it with sausages and coleslaw – yum!
